Dear Launchers, Attendees, and Sponsors,
Thank you very much for your continued support in Watershed Market. With you belief and contribution, we were able to launch our first Watershed Market in March, 2014 in East Downtown. This two-day grand event was very successful, with approximately 3,000 attendees and many vendors selling out of their products. Needless to say, the response from the community was outstanding.
Last year, Watershed Market was also approached by the Texas Home & Garden Show to participate in their Autumn Expo. We had 14 vendors participate and were able to reach out to over 10,000 people during the three-day event.
With the implementation of two different types of markets throughout the year, our Holiday Market was an example of facilitating a more intimate atmosphere with a one-day market, as well as providing an opportunity for the community to purchase local products for holiday gifts. In initiating these markets, we were able to understand the viability and sustainability for a more regular marketplace for Houston.
The overwhelming support from the community affirms that Houston is ready for and needs the type of locally-sourced commerce that Watershed Market provides. With Houston's extreme and unpredictable weather, the focus for 2015 is to restructure Watershed Market while finding a permanent location with vendors that are in a position to be open on a regular basis. We thank you for your continued support and feedback as it has laid the foundation for understanding the requirements to initiate such an effort here in Houston. Please continue to follow our progress via Facebook, Twitter or please contact me directly any time.
We are devising a way to bring Houston an everyday GLASIR©2013 Market, where Green, Local, Adaptive, Sustainable, Innovative, Reuse products, services, and education are readily available for FREE to the community. With a festive, family-friendly, entertaining environment, were one can shop and stroll, as we work towards a 'Zero Waste' destination.
Thank you again!
